This page describes a way to handle the restore-function in Technics Song Manager.

Start configuration

  • Technics Songmanager is installed (Programm is on the CD, delivered with your KN7000)
  • the SD-card is in your cardreader/-writer.
  • the cardreader/-writer is connected to your computer (via USB-port)
  • the downloaded files (with the extension *.sdb) is on your harddisk

1. Open Songmanager.

Click on <SD Manage> and <SD Restore>

2. Go to the map where the SD-backup (*.sdb) is stored

Click on <OPEN> and choose <The SD CARD in de SD CARD Reader/Writer>

Hereafter you can choose the location of your SD Cardreader/-writer.

Then the backup-procedure is starting....

You will receive the message <OK/Completed> when finished.

Then you can remove the SD Card and use it in your KN7000.

BE AWARE: it tooks a very long time before it is finished!!! For instance to restore a backup of 64 MB approximate more than 1 hour ??!! (I couldnot have measured it exactly)

Some remarks about loading-time:

  • different SD-branches has different access-time (could to 17% slower/quicker)

  • different Cardreaders/-writers has different access-time too (could be 20% slower/quicker)

  • USB1 is slower as USB2

  • The Technics operating system/structure is not as quick as one whishes
