A. PRESET/USER PICTURES. In the memory of the technics
are preset factory pictures, numbered from 1 to 100. (If you wish you can download a slideshow which shows you all the preset pictures. See also the blue KN7000 reference guide) STARTING POSITIONLoad any recorded song (the sequence) into the KN7000 · Push button <PROGRAM MENUS> · Choose <SEQUENCER> · Choose <RECORD & EDIT>
·
Choose <STEP RECORD> · Choose <CTL> at the bottom of the display. In this control-track you enter the positions where and when the picture is to be shown on the display. You are now in the first measure of the song · Choose a place with <MEAS> and/or <CURSOR> where you want to have the picture show on display….. (Under the button <PIC> is the word <PICTURE>. That is for loading a self made picture in the PICTURE LIST)
·
Choose <PIC>
At the bottom of the display you see <PIC (PRESET) = 1>You can scroll through this with the <PRESER/USER> button and/or the <VALUE> button. · Choose e.g. <PIC(PRESET)=1> · Press <YES> Result: Preset Picture number 1 is located on measure 1 (you should see an *-asterix) Press down at the display the button <MEAS> and go e.g. measure 5 · Press <PIC> · Choose e.g. <PIC(PRESET)=3> · Press <YES> Result: Preset Picture number 3 is located on measure 5 (the *-asterix) Press down at the display the button <MEAS> and go e.g. measure 9 · Press <PIC> · Choose e.g. <PIC(USER)=1> o (if above <VALUE> you can read ‘NO DATA’ then you have not filled the (USER) PICTURE LIST yet with self made pictures. In that case, please, follow the B-procedure below this page…) · Press <YES> Result: User Picture number 1 is located on measure 9 (the *-asterix) And so on …(with a maximum of 30 pictures!) · If you are ready press button <PROGRAM MENUS> Now you can press <START/STOP>button and the display shows the pictures at the measure you have choosen.
B. SELF MADE/USER PICTURESTo work with self made, and
not preset pictures, you have to load them in the (USER) PICTURE LIST. The same STARTING POSITION as above. Load any recorded song (the sequence) into the KN7000 · Push button <PROGRAM MENUS> · Choose <SEQUENCER> · Choose <RECORD & EDIT> · Choose <STEP RECORD> · Choose Control-track named <CTL> · On this track you enter and locate the positions where and when the picture is seen on the display. You are now in the first measure of the song · Choose <PICTURE> The <PICTURE LIST>MENU is now
on display The diplay shows a list with 30 numbers. If you did not load any pictures , all places will be empty. Otherwise you should see some numbers with a filename (picture). · Press <PICTURE LOAD>
Choose A. Load from disk or B. Load from SD-card If the list of the disk or the map of the SD-card is empty there are probably no compatible pictures on the disk or in the SD-map. Choose · the <FILE> and · the <TRIMMING> and · the <USER PICTURE >NUMBER to the place the picture must be saved in the (USER) PICTURE LIST. · Then press <LOAD> Result: User Picture from disk/SD-card is saved now in the PICTURE LIST on place/number X. Be aware: it is not yet stored in the sequencer (you don’t see an *-asterix yet). Now you can go on with the A-procedure described above. The main difference (compared to preset pictures) is that you now can choose pictures you have loaded into the Picture List and use them in your songs/sequencer. C. ABOUT THE PICTURE FORMAT: You can only use: · pictures with the extension <jpg> (not JPEG!) or <bmp> · pictures with a maximum of 640 x 240 pixels N.B. don't use too much colordepth when saving in jpg-format. A colordepth of 256 works fine. Be aware
that the interval between the pictures to be load is not too short. You can
experiment with this by changing the *-asterix in the step-record-mode. In the
KN7000 guide Technics advises an interval of 2 counts with a tempo of 120. |
